Inside Revver!

My wife brought back some short MPEG video clips from her sister's still camera, and here's my attempt to package it into "Inside Revver." Some neat shots of the offices and a few staff members.

6464 Sunset Boulevard. I've peed on that building. Used to work for Andresen nearby on Wilcox. Played many a game of billiards at the Hollywood Athletic Club up the street. Around the corner is the old Hollywood bus station where the cheap pimps and bicycle crack slingers ply their trades. Nice area.

It's actually becoming a nice area. Revver is walking distance from Amoeba Records and the Arclight (the greatest movie theatre in the world). You can still get mugged around there after 7pm, though. Let's hope the Revver people just work 9-5...;-)

Another comment I wanted to make...Are they REALLY located here in LA? They seem too nice, normal and transparent. Maybe I'm just getting too cynical about this town myself...(Easy to do...) Now, allow me to fawn over Steven Starr again...Anyone who co-created "The State" probably IS a decent human being...
When this all shakes out, may Revver be the only one left standing. Go Revver!!!!

I've slept in the Arclight's huge parking lot. Not much cover from the metalhead members of that Punk Jesus cult who would scour the streets at night looking to browbeat salvation out of/ into us bums. (This will be covered in greater detail in my "Hollywood On The Bum" book)

PW quote is right on the money. And, why is it that Jesus lovers can actually be so hateful?

Dawn - So far no reported muggings. We actually share our floor with LAPD IA which may (or may not) help keep us safe. The area is definitely getting better - more and more nice places to eat, definitely the Arclight. It's coming together, and yet you can still find some good old fashion danger when you're feeling immortal and need to be brought down a few notches. Whatever you do, don't go one block South.

I can see the headline now. "78 percent of Revver's technology staff injured in mugging." (Rob gets attacked by crack head).

NOTHING to joke about! We were mugged a couple blocks from our house...horrible experience.

It wasn't me! I had the day off that day.

I used to work for Graphics Etc in Canoga Park. One day I arrived at work and had to step over the fresh chalk outline of a body to get in the door. Nobody inside even mentioned it. Bad manners, I guess.
