It's not that I don't love the Revver Forum

It's just that I keep losing the password. And my wife's account on the Mac doesn't have the darned cookie. And I'm so wiped from my new job I can barely hit the publish butto

Secret Revver Code

Let's stop using the full URL when we talk about our Revver videos. Just the 5 digit code. Go ahead. Post a favorite, but just the 5-digit code. For instance....

Did 43179 remind anyone of 27335? By the way, 27335 is up to about 4 million views. These guys have to exceeded $40K EASILY by now. I've gone from excited to jealous to excited and back to jealous again. I actually had a guy I've never met at work mention 27335 and he knew the guys made $30K. You could have knocked me over with a feather.

But he was certainly not cool enough to just say 27335.

Revver Maintains It's Still Cool, Despite Concerns

Some interesting quotes about the Revver/Turner/Comcast deal:

"The market for online user-generated video content is growing exponentially," said David Horowitz, Principal, Comcast Interactive Capital. "I haven't personally been to the Revver site on the world wide web but it's supposed to be very sticky and viral. Very clicks and bricks. Very Web 2.0."

"Television entertainment is becoming more and more multi-dimensional, and Turner is scared like hell," said Greg Foster, VP of Corporate Development at Turner. "For less than half my administrator's salary we can ensure that Revver stays exactly where we need it to stay."

"Despite our new "old media" friends, Revver remains as cool as ever," defended Steven Starr, founder and chief executive officer of Revver. "Comcast and Turner are big names and they may suck away our will to live, but they provide us enough cash to stay above the water when the Titanic YouTube sucks everyone else deep into the ocean.

(I'm just kidding... this is good for Revver and online video. It legitimizes the model, ensures the sustainability, and puts Revver in the undesputed #1 position. Let's hope they spend some of that cash on popularizing the site).

Revver Plus Comcast and Turner?!

This just in. Revver expands series B funding round by adding Comcast Interactive Capital and Turner Broadcasting as new investors. Revver will use the funding for market expansion, team-building, and technology development. Comcast and Turner join Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Bessemer Venture Partners, Draper Richards, and William Randolph Hearst III as investors in the firm.

At the time of this writing, neither Revver nor Comcast Interactive Capital had information on their news section. However Miki's keeping us current on Revver's Blog. Revverberation's motto for Micki: Twice the charm, three times the speed and 1/10th the price of a PR agency.

According to TVWeek, "Revver declined to disclose the amount from either company or the total for that round. However, the company said it has raised $12.7 million total to date."

Nomination for "Editor's Picks"

So rarely do I nominate a video I didn't make. I give you "Awesome Bar Scene." A guy screws his friend by encouraging him to meet a lady at the bar... who looks pretty good. From the back.
